A celebration of two iconic and prolific songwriters: John Lennon and Harry Nilsson. In 1973, years after The Beatles disbanded, Lennon found himself in Los Angeles and spent the next 18 months making music (and mischief) with his pal, American singer/songwriter, Harry Nilsson; a period of time Lennon referred to as the "Lost Weekend."

Live from Laurel Canyon’s ensemble of six vocalists and musicians will explore Lennon and Nilsson’s individual catalogs, the impact they had on each other’s work, their collaborative efforts during this period as well as share the stories that inspired these unique songwriters.

Returning by popular demand with their new concert program inspired by classic songs from Broadway musicals and Hollywood films is jazz guitarist John Pizzarelli accompanied by bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J. Thompson.

The cleverly chosen repertoire of this swinging jazz trio spans nearly nine decades starting with “Tea for Two” from 1925’s No, No, Nanette and leading into the 21st century with “I Love Betsy” from Honeymoon in Vegas. In between there are pieces by such iconic songwriters and composers as Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, Oscar Hammerstein II, and Leonard Bernstein, and songs immortalized in cinema favorites like Casablanca.
