The Wickenburg Breast Cancer Network is once again organizing the Wickenburg Walks to “Boot” Breast Cancer walk this October. This year’s theme is “It Takes a Team.”
People of all ages are welcome to enjoy this easy-paced walk through historic downtown Wickenburg and scenic Simpson’s Ranch. Participants are invited to dress in outlandish or creative costumes on the day of the walk.

Join Ranger Eric for a guided bird walk to look and listen for resident and migrant species within the diverse desert riparian habitat of the Hassayampa River Preserve. Along the way we will discuss how to identify birds by sight and sound, and about the behavioral and ecological traits that make them unique. Some binoculars are available to borrow. Teens: 10-11 a.m. Join us for a dementia simulation and discussion to learn how to interact with family members with dementia.
Parents may attend an option workshop from 10-11 a.m. to learn how to support their children.
